About

Thoughtful lyrics, equally clever but ultimately danceable tunes. Never your run of the
mill, definitely a band to look out for – Narc Magazine
A pop masterpiece with ears firmly planted across musical generations and a keen eye
somewhere in the far future – N E Volume
Not your typical post punk band. Does not play it safe. It has Talking Heads in its DNA,
but it has its own twisted soul. – BBC Introducing First Play
Successpit (Formerly Middle Management) are a four-piece post punk band hailing from Teesside, England. Influenced by artists like Gang of Four, English Teacher, Yard Act and Wire, they mix art pop sensibilities with acerbic wit and scathing social observations.
To date, they have released a three track EP titled Detail Death, now available on
Bandcamp. The first track, ‘Influencer Influenza,’ was lauded by Tom Robinson and BBC
Introducing. Their second track, ‘Do We Have Anything Left to Say?’ was adopted as a
call to arms by the Humanise movement for joyful and human buildings. A further three
track EP will be released in 2026.
In 2025 they played a host of festivals, including Marapalooza in Newcastle and they kicked
off the Twisterella Festival in Middlesbrough to rapturous applause. This led to an invitation to support
fellow Teesside stalwarts Benefits on the last section of their UK tour. Their schedule in
2026 will involve a slot at Stockton Calling Festival and a sold out headline gig at the Howard
Assembly Rooms in Leeds.
